Tag Description
[url]

Use this tag to insert links into your posts. There are two forms in which you can do this:

  1. By surrounding a web address with the url tags.
  2. By inserting the url within quotes in the tag and placing your custom text.

Example 1: [url]http://www.apresx.com[/url]
Results: http://www.apresx.com

Example 2: [url="http://www.apresx.com"]Click here![/url]
Results: Click here!

[b]

Use this tag to make your text bold. Just surround your text with the [b] tags.
Example: [b]hello[/b]
Results: hello

[i]

Use this tag to make your text italicized. Just surround your text with the [i] tags.
Example: [i]hello[/i]
Results: hello.

[img]

Use this tag to insert images.

  1. To use, simply surround the image url with the [img] tags. Example: [img]http://www.apresx.com/images/button_close.gif[/img] will display .
  2. By inserting the image url within quotes in the tag and placing your custom text.

Example: [img="http://www.apresx.com/images/button_close.gif"]here is the image[/img]

Use this tag to quote other users' text as well as news sources, other websites, etc. To quote a user, simply click on the quote button on the top-right-hand corner of his comment. To quote another website's text, simply surround the text with the [quote] tags. In the same manner as other tags, if you want to quote someone, you can put his / her name within double-quotes like:

Example: [quote="Emilio"]Hello World.[/quote]
Results:

Quoting Emilio:

Hello World.

 

[profile]

Use this tag to insert links to a user's profile. To use, simply surround the username with the [profile] tags.

Example: [profile]Emilio[/profile]
Results: Emilio
